Vine-Cut Range

A relatively new style of cutting for Wentworth which involves more curly pieces – they are shaped jigsaws (sometimes with dropouts) with spiral pieces like an uncurling spring and a mix of fancy connectors, including curls. The first was Blooming Wolf launched in summer 2020 during the pandemic - or perhaps the 2019 title Scaling New Heights.

This is part of the initiative to revitalise Wentworth by providing more innovative cuts. Vine-cut titles are sold under the ‘Extra Difficult’ selection at a slightly higher price that standard whimsy cuts. By Autumn 2026 there have been at least 18 full size vine-cut titles.


As well as the full size titles, the extra difficult cutting features have spread to some of Wentworth’s smaller jigsaws, including some of the Christmas Crackers and Advent Calendar jigsaws. Some of the repetitive or tessellation style jigsaws also feature spirals, both in full sized and the Minimindful jigsaws. They have also influenced the cuts of the more recent Twelve Days of Christmas Series by Rachel Arbuckle.
