Shay's Puzzle Workshop

Shay Carmichael is an experienced and skilful hand cutter from the USA who cuts under the name of Shay’s Puzzle Workshop. She creates bespoke wooden jigsaws from 10-1500pc using a variety of woods. She occasionally takes commissions but is also involved in jigsaw restoration. Shay also subcontracted her business and cutting skills to Waterford/Elms for a period, to help steer the company at a time of transition.

Shay took part in three Puzzle Parley Pagey Elliott Exchanges, in 2016, virtual 2021 and 2022. She also cut a puzzle during the first BCD virtual meeting in June 2020, and explained her design process for the commission Lucero’s Place in the November 2020 virtual meeting.
